As usual, the Parish will be running a Lenten Project to raise funds for a worthy cause. This year’s selected charity is ‘Christian Blind Mission’ (CBM) Every day, women, men and children in poor communities go blind because of diseases or conditions that could have been avoided. CBM prevent blindness and restore sight in the poorest places of the world by tackling eye diseases, training doctors and health care workers and carrying out sight-restoring surgeries.
We have already arranged a number of fundraising events which we hope will encourage people to support the project. Read more
Churches Together in Surbiton are running a Lenten Course entitled ‘The Mystery of God’.
The course delves more deeply into the mystery of God, seeking to rediscover what it is that draws us so deeply in our search for God. The course will follow Jesus through the Lenten readings, allowing him to draw us, in love and wonder, into the mystery of God’s plan of salvation.
There are weekly sessions at various churches in Surbiton. For a full list of times, dates and venues please contact: Katie MacAuslan – 0208 390 4598; shmc.office@kingstoncircuit.org.uk
