Join us on Sunday 29th September! The next series of talks begins with Fr. Michael who will speak on the subject of “Pope Benedict’s ‘Verbum Domini’ in the light of The Year of the Word”. In the Diocese, from October, we will have a special focus on Scripture and its place in our prayers and in our lives. All are welcome to the talk, beginning from 6.30 pm. and ending before 8 pm.

Wednesday 18th September: Parish Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in West Grinstead
We are planning a day trip to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in West Grinstead on Wednesday the 18th September. We would aim to leave St. Raphael’s by 10.00am to arrive at the shrine in time for exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 11.30am followed by Mass at 12.00noon. Please bring a packed lunch, drinks will be provided by the church. The Shrine asks each pilgrim to contribute £5 towards the upkeep of the shrine. We would be pleased to have some idea of numbers, when we have firm numbers, we can decide on the transport for the day. (Please see the ‘tear off slip’ at the bottom of the newsletter).
Kingston University Catholic Society visits Westminster Cathedral
On Saturday 19th January, the Kingston University Catholic Society visited Westminster Cathedral together with our Parish Priest and Kingston University Chaplain – Fr Michael Lovell. The group enjoyed a wonderful tour of the cathedral, kindly offered by Canon Tuckwell.
