His Grace the Archbishop will make his first visit to the Parish on Sunday 10th October and celebrate Mass for us at 10.30am. (Please note this will be the only morning Mass that day.) This will be followed by a reception in the Hall.

Please do not enter the Church if you have a temperature, a new a persistent cough, loss of taste/smell or any other covid symptoms.
Track and trace – You must either use the NHS App on your smart phone or the sign in sheets – both of these are available at the back of the Church.
Hand sanitiser – Is available at the back of the Church, please use it.
Face coverings – It is recommended you wear them when in the Church.
Social Distancing – it is recommended you practice this when possible. Should you feel unconfutable with sitting too close to other people, please feel free to use the Private Pew or the hall – entrance to both is by the side of Our Lady’s Altar Please speak to the stewards if you need any further advice.
Holy Communion – Please be guided by the stewards. There are 5 marked spaces along the Altar Rails, please kneel at one of these spaces.
Singing – Face masks must be worn when singing. Congregational singing will be gradually introduced.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament – As we do not normally have Benediction in July and August this will resume in September.
Church Opening – During the week, the Church will usually open soon after 9.00am and remain open until lunchtime or whenever Michael, the Church Manager is in the Parish Office.
Tea and Coffee – Tea and coffee after Wednesday Mass has resumed. As we would not normally have Sunday tea and coffee during July and August, this will resume in September.
Confessions – Will resume at their normal times, in the confessional box, from today (Sundays 9.00am – 9.20am, 4.30pm -4.50pm. Saturdays 10.30am – 11.00am)
It is vitally important that people are sensible and careful when attending the Church to try to keep all of us safe.
If you have been offered a vaccine and not yet taken it and are not exempt – for the sake of everyone, please do so.
Please do not visit the Church if you have a high temperature or a new continuous cough or a change in your normal sense of taste or smell.

Recently Fr. Michael was asked to take part in a webinar – an online seminar about the ‘Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham’
The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham was established in 2011 by Pope Benedict XVI to allow Anglicans to enter into the full communion of the Catholic Church whilst retaining much of their heritage and traditions. It now has the full support and blessing of Pope Francis.
They exist to promote the unity of all Christians with the Apostolic See, and faithfully to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the rich treasures of their Anglican traditions.
In the Archdiocese of Southwark we have two parishes that our run by the Ordinariate, one in London – the Borough and one in Kent – Mongeham & Sandwich. In addtion there are other groups based in Croydon, Deal, Folkestone, Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells.

There is extensive evidence that many women in the Uyghur Muslim community in Xinjiang, China are being subjected to forced abortions.
Lord Alton is currently championing an amendment to the Trade Bill which would give British courts a role in determining whether a country is committing genocide. This would help with putting international pressure on the Chinese Communist Party to stop the practice of forcing abortions on the Uyghur Muslim community along with the wider human rights abuses that evidence shows is being perpetuated against this community.
