A Spiritual Communion

While we are unable to attend Mass or receive Our Lord in Holy Communion, we can participate in live-stream Masses, or reflect on the daily readings, and make an Act of Spiritual Communion:

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament.

I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You.

Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

4/ Marriage and Family Life

The Marriage and Family Life Team remain in post during the Lockdown and are providing many of their courses online: they are keen that clergy and parishioners are aware of the following:

Marriage Preparation – We continue to provide marriage preparation on all the scheduled dates using the same online format which worked well and was well received by the couples participating. Please continue to refer couples in the usual way.

Forthcoming dates for the official online Marriage Preparation course in Kent are June 27th and September 19th. Other dates for courses can be found at www.rcsouthwark.co.uk/marriage_prep_courses.html

Building A Better Marriage – In order to help married couples enrich their marriages we are holding more online courses. ‘Dear husband and wife! During the lockdown period an online Building a Better Marriage’ opportunity is being held on June 6th and July 4th, running from 10am -1pm.

The course offered means that you can attend the course from your own living room and there is no group sharing! For further information contact: Carole – Tel: 07983524727 – email: mflkent@rcaos.org.uk

Passing on The Faith – Parents have a lot more time with their children at the moment. So we felt it timely to offer a programme we have run in the past in several parishes but now as an online service for families. We would be grateful if you would publicise this in your parish/deanery in any way possible. For more details email Lisette Blanchett-Ball on mflse@rcaos.org.uk
